How we work

Many of our regular clients will simply send us their photo needs list (e-mail now) and our staff will do the research and send out original film under consignment. Licensing fees are determined on usage and must be agreed upon before film is delivered.

Researchers with very specific needs will use our unique on-line text database before making a specific request. Clients who search our database can find their own photos and will be offered our on-line PhotoBotanic Clipboard which can be e-mailed directly to fulfill the photo request. We then contact you to determine how to deliver images and arrange licensing fees.

Many of the photos in our library are scanned and thumbnail views will be seen in the database and be added to the PhotoBotanic Clipboard much like a lightbox on other sites. If an image is not already scanned we can provide overnight previews (subject to a $75 research fee) but do not provide high res scans for direct download. Original film will be sent once we agree on terms and conditions. We invoice based on usage. See licensing.
